No stopping sporty Chantelle

CHANTELLE Kriek (13) from Heuwelland Primary School recently received the prestigious Sportsperson of the Year award after a very successful 2013 season.

This talented young lady recently finished second in the girls high jump event when representing the KZN team at the inter-provincial sub youth championships held in Potchefstroom.

This was by far her highest achievement for the year, to be ranked second in the country for girls U13 high jump after clearing 1.55m.

Kriek’s sporting resume is very impressive, which includes KZN cricket colours 2011, KZN athletics 2011, Northern Coastal cricket 2012, Northern Coastal athletics 2012, KZN hockey 2012, Northern Coastal chess, cricket and hockey 2013 and KZN athletics 2013.
