THE city is proposing to accommodate an aviation training facility at the dilapidated Empangeni airfield.
While the City of uMhlathuze has not expanded on the concept, spokesperson Mdu Ncalane this week confirmed the good news.
‘We can confirm that the city is planning to utilise the Empangeni airfield as the aviation training centre
‘This is only official information we can release for now, until there are further developments with the project,’ he said.
