THE police have warned the Pongola community against taking the law into their own hands, saying such action would amount to criminal behaviour..
‘Any member of the community caught taking the law into his or her own hands will be charged accordingly,’ said Zululand Cluster Police spokesperson Captain Nkosie Gwala.

Her warning comes in wake of a brutal attack on local resident Mthokozisi Masondo (40) of the Ntuthuko area, who was accused of burglary.
Masondo later died of his injuries in hospital.
No arrests have yet been made.
