Football for Life Academy has about 200 female players from all over the uMkhanyakude District

Swedish club impressed by local Football for Life Academy women soccer project.

Mtubatuba Mayor Velangenkosi Gumede has urged Swedish soccer club FC Rosengard board members to invest in Mtubatuba with the purpose of creating job opportunities for the youth.

Gumede was speaking at the a 10-year celebration of Football for Life Academy held at Mfekayi in Mtubatuba on Saturday evening.

‘When you return to your country, think about Mtubatuba and come back to invest. Our municipality is sitting on a ticking time bomb owing to scarcity of job opportunities,’ he said.

Football for Life Academy has about 200 female players from all over the uMkhanyakude District. Its main aim is to provide a platform for talented female players to participate in soccer.
