MANCOSA Rhinos bounced back from their 80-15 thumping from Hillcrest Villagers in round one of the First Division League, when they beat UKZN Durban 20-8 at Mick Kelly Park on Thursday evening.
The home team excelled scoring four crucial tries to secure a bonus point victory over the visitors.
Head coach Charles Mndaweni’s men looked impressive and put on a solid display for their faithful fans,which resulted in the much needed victory.

It took just three minutes for Rhinos to open their account thanks to a well-worked try from right winger Siyanda Makhoba.
After that the students got their tails up and dominated field and ball possession resulting in a converted penalty (5-3).
Despite not having much ball in the first half, Rhinos’ defence was immense and saw huge tackles, counter rucks and balls being turned over at the breakdown.
The half time score was 5-3 to the home side after a monumental defensive display.

Rhinos picked it up a gear in the second half and dominated scrums, line-outs and loose play which resulted in three unconverted tries from Andile Myeni, Trevor Dlodlo and Zubenathi Sixonxo.
UKZN managed to finally crack the home side’s defence to dot down with the scoreboard reading 20-8 after the final whistle had sounded.
In the earlier game played, Rhinos 2 could find themselves unlucky when they went down 13-11 in a hard-fought contest.

Both sides will be back in action at Mick Kelly Park on Saturday 14 April when they take on Westville at 2pm and 3.30pm.
Locals are urged to come out and support the boys in the third round of the league.
