Media and Public Relations students got a taster of what work in their chosen field would be like

UNIVERSITY of Zululand students in the Communication Science department last week got a taster of work in the communication industry when members of the media and other communication specialists were hosted as part of the university’s Work Integrated Learning programme.

‘Before the students make up their minds as to what job they want to go into once qualified, we feel it important to showcase their options,’ said Ms J Ngubane, UniZulu WIL Co-ordinator and Lecturer: Communication Science, Faculty of Arts.

The ZO, along with Icora FM’s Station Manager B Msweli, 1 KZN TV Producer L Mbili and City of uMhlathuze Communications Manager Mdu Ncalane, was given the opportunity to bring the industry to life as the students listened intently.
