Facing life challenges

The NPO, SANCA and the Department of Health representatives were invited by the school to educate learners about various life challenges

BRAINWAVES Home School learners benefitted from an awareness campaign facilitated by local non-profit organisation, We Stand United Network, last Thursday.

The NPO, SANCA and the Department of Health representatives were invited by the school to educate learners about various life challenges.

Department of Health’s Sebenzile Buthelezi spoke about sexually transmitted diseases, HIV prevention and teenage pregnancies, while SANCA’s Lihle Mhlongo adressed the dangers of drugs.

School Principal Renette Stroebel said she wanted her learners to be wise about what is happening around them so that they won’t find themselves in bad situations.
