Remorseful ‘murderer’ takes his own life

A MAN committed suicide apparently after believing he had strangled to death the mother of his children.

The 27-year-old had reportedly followed his ex-girlfriend to the bus stop in Mzingazi last week, where he attacked and left her unconscious near the roadside.

She was later spotted by pedestrians who discovered she was still alive and helped her.

According to the Richards Bay SAPS Captain Debbie Ferreira, an inquest docket was opened after the man was found dead at a relative’s house at Khondweni last week.
