Bank card suspects to appear in court

Quick police reaction catch fraudsters red-handed

FIVE suspects were arrested in eShowe on fraud charges thanks to an alert garage manager.

The manager alerted police to alleged fraudsters who were filling up their vehicles with petrol and buying goods at the garage shop.

The police responded swiftly and suspects aged between 24 and 40 years-of-age were caught red-handed.

They were found in possession of various bank cards, not belonging to them, and laptops.

The card used to pay for the petrol was also found to be cloned.

Since last year, various cases of fraud have been opened at the eShowe Police Station.

People reported that their money was being withdrawn from different ATMs around eShowe and neighbouring towns.

The suspects are due in court shortly.
