THE case against a parolee from Hluhluwe, Zamani Pitoli Gumede (26), who faces two counts of murder and arson, has been remanded to 28 February for further investigation.
He appeared at the Umbombo Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

Gumede, who was previously arrested for rape and let out on parole, was arrested in connection with the murder of Mzamo Mbuyazi (20) and Sibongile Ntshangase (32) in December.
According to police Mbuyazi and Ntshangase were at home on 26 December, in Hluhluwe when they were approached by Gumede, who allegedly stabbed both of them with a spear and set their house on fire while they were inside. Both victims died.
