Saturday morning truck and taxi accident
The accident occurred in the area where road painting was taking place
AN accident on the N2, 1km north of Mposa on Saturday morning left one person with moderate injuries and others with minor injuries after the taxi in which they were travelling hit a truck.
The incident occurred in the area in which road painting was taking place and the road had been narrowed to accommodate the workers.
One person was transported to Ngwelezana Hospital and reportedly suffered a broken arm and teeth, while two others were taken to eNseleni Clinic.
In the strong winds, the unweighted plastic road cones demarcating the area being worked on had been blown all over the road, causing vehicles to dodge them.
The cause of the accident is a matter of police investigation.
