TWO suspects who are believed to have been listed together with another four most wanted men, were arrested in Empangeni on Monday.
The suspects had been sought by Umhlali detectives for crimes allegedly committed in Umhlali, Tongaat, Empangeni and Inanda.
Preliminary investigations revealed that they are a gang of six.
According to reports, on Monday members of the Umhlali Task Team conducted an operation in the Umhlali policing precinct where two of the wanted suspects were arrested.

The task team then received information that the other four men were within the Empangeni area.
They proceeded to Empangeni where they managed to arrest two more suspects, one of whom was found with a rifle with ammunition.
Two of the suspects managed to evade arrest.
The firearm was checked and it was discovered that it was stolen during the house robbery incident at Odondolo Reserve, Matshana in October last year.
The gang has been notoriously terrorising business owners, especially foreign nationals, by committing robberies and burglaries.
It is also alleged that during the commission of these offences they threatened victims with firearms and even raped females present.
The four suspects will be charged for business robbery, house robbery, attempted murder and illegal possession of firearms.

They will appear at the Umhlali Magistrate’s Court.
KZN Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bheki Langa applauded the outstanding work performed by the Umhlali Task Team.
‘The seizure of the firearm from the hands of the criminals will prevent serious and violent crimes and save lots of innocent lives that would be taken by these criminals during their criminal acts.
‘The firearm will be taken for ballistic testing for analysis to ascertain if it was used in the commission of other crimes.
‘These suspects have also been linked to a house robbery in Empangeni,’ he said.
