BOYANT after three consecutive NFD wins, Richards Bay FC take the short trip to the Harry Gwala Stadium this Saturday for a KZN derby game against Royal Eagles.
The teams know each other well and have always played to tight finishes, but NRB will be bristling with confidence after their emphatic display against Stellenbosch last weekend.
Three more points will lift Richards Bay to mid-table, with promise of yet better things to come.

The experiment up front continues with Michael Roelf having been added to the mix and goals have at last been coming.
It is now a case of settling on the best combinations, with Stanley Muishond, Michael Gumede, Menzi Hlophe, Thabiso Nkoana and Sphelele Mkhulise all able to do serious damage to defences.
Not only a longer distance, but a much higher mountain to climb is NRB’s following game against log leaders Highlands Park, also away from home.

Though the 3-0 scoreline doesn’t reflect it, Richards Bay were far from outclassed in the first round encounter against Highlands, and the local lads have improved by leaps and bounds since then.
Good draw
The Nedbank Cup last 32 draw held in Sandton on Monday evening proved favourable for Richards Bay FC.
They will play at home against Bloemfontein Young Tigers on a date yet to be determined, between 6-12 February
