Crime crackdown in Ulundi

MEMBERS of the Ulundi Public Order Police, Zululand Cluster task team and King Cetshwayo Cluster Intelligence arrested a suspect for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in Mhlabathini over the weekend.

During the joint operation, two buckets of dagga were also recovered while the police were looking for other suspects.

Zululand Cluster police spokesperson, Captain Nkosie, told the ZO another three suspects were arrested for possession of drugs.

Two of the suspects are from Nigeria.

‘One of the three suspects was found in possession of 864 parcels of crack cocaine, while 86 parcels of drugs were found hidden in a car belonging to a second suspect. The third suspect was found with a packet of crack cocaine,’ said Gwala.
