Fortunate escape for flipped car occupants

FOR four eSikhaleni residents, a day out at the Bay Hall Area on Sunday ended in disaster when the vehicle flipped and landed on its roof after reportedly hitting a lamp post.

The accident, which involved only one vehicle, brought traffic along Bayview Boulevard to a standstill just after 6.30pm.

According to ICE Medical Rescue, there were no serious injuries.

Two occupants were taken to eNseleni Clinic while the other two refused hospital treatment.

The cause of the accident is a matter of police investigation.
