THE Fish Eagles Swimming Club held its Guppy and Level O gala on Saturday at the Meerensee municipal pool where coaches Sonja van Ryswyk and Bronwyn MacDonald put the little ones through their paces.
‘The purpose of these galas is to introduce children to swimming before they partake at school level, as well as to develop swimming in Zululand.
‘Water safety and awareness is vital for all children of all ages,’ said MacDonald.
The next gala will be held on 9 February at the same venue.
