South Africans still shocked over Robbie Malinga’s death

South Africans are still shocked after the passing of music man Robbie Malinga on Christmas Day

TRIBUTES continue to pour in from politicians, musicians, celebrities and ordinary men after the sudden death of music icon Robbie Malinga (47).

The renowned music producer passed away on Christmas Day (Monday).

Malinga was apparently admitted to hospital in June, and reports suggest he had an iron deficiency and suffered from anaemia.

Grieving South Africans continue to express shock on social media.

President Jacob Zuma was one of the first people to express his heartfelt condolences to loving South Africans and to the Malinga family.

‘This is indeed a huge loss for South Africa and the music industry as a whole. We are with his family in thoughts and prayers during this trying period. May his soul rest in peace,’ Zuma said through a statement.

Musician Kelly Khumalo has also paid a heartfelt tribute to the late music veteran, revealing that his death had left her feeling like she was ‘literally drowning’.

Posting a picture of her performing with Malinga, Kelly wrote an emotional message asking how she would be able to move on with life after his death.

Award-winning Zahara also expressed her condolences and joined with hundreds of other personalities.

Malinga was responsible for shaping the careers of artists including the late Brown Dash, Kabelo Mabalane, Arthur Mafokate and Mzekezeke.
