De Beer searching for sixth career win

De Beer has more professional fights under the belt than his opponent, but experience counts for nothing when one enters the cage

GARAGE Boys’ professional mixed martial artist Martin ‘The Diamond’ de Beer will meet a tough opponent in TC ‘Phantom’ Khusu in a bantamweight fight in Pretoria on Saturday.

De Beer has more professional fights under the belt than his opponent, but experience counts for nothing when one enters the cage.

De Beer has a fight record of five wins and three losses, with four wins coming from submission and one from a TKO.

The 27-year-old uses his range effectively, something he will have to utilise if he wants to bag another victory.

De Beer is 1.68m in height and has a reach of 166cm, with Khusu measuring 1.7m and a reach of 178cm.

The reach difference can prove to be crucial.

Khusu has only two professional fights to his name, with one loss and one TKO victory.
