Excellence awards at St Catherine’s

ST Catherine's School Grade 7 pupil Sonia Mulchandani scooped no fewer than 12 trophies at the annual senior phase (Grades 4-7) prize giving ceremony

ST Catherine’s School Grade 7 pupil Sonia Mulchandani scooped no fewer than 12 trophies at the annual senior phase (Grades 4-7) prize giving ceremony held last Wednesday evening.

Simesihle Mncube received the Good Fellowship Trophy which was voted for by her peers

Sonia bagged the following trophies after her hard work this year: floating trophy for history, Janse van Rensburg Floating Trophy for Afrikaans, Coetzer Family Floating Trophy for visual arts (shared with Maryvianney Ihuarulam), the Economic and Management Sciences Shield, Mondi Kraft mathematics technology award, Percival Floating Trophy for geography, Floating Trophy for life skills, Percival Floating Trophy for English (shared with Simesihle Mncube), the Mondi Kaft merit award for natural sciences, Robarts Dux of the Junior School (highest academic achievement in Grade 7) and St Catherine’s Junior Trophy for all-round participation.

Kiara Coetzer bagged six awards

Kiara Coetzer also bagged a number of awards – the Andrew Swan-Floating Trophy for good sportsmanship, junior music trophy for progress, Coetzer Family floating trophy for girls’ Soccer Player of the Year, FM Taylor Trophy for Junior Victrix Ludorum in swimming, Gerhard van Zyl T2rophy for Junior Victrix Ludorum in athletics and Coetzer Family Floating Trophy for girls’ Hockey Player of the Year.

Aaryan Poorun picked up the Pretorius Junior Sportsperson of the Year award
