Man kills his lover and dumps her body in bush

A MAN handed himself over to police after killing his concubine in Ulundi before dumping her body in a thick bush on Wednesday last week.

It is alleged the deceased was beaten to death by her secret lover, Sibusiso Xulu (42) on Tuesday night, four kilometres away from his residence.

The shocking incident occurred at Ezihlabeni area near eMaqhugwaneni, in Ulundi.

Police spokesperson, Captain Nkosi Gwala said Xulu was arrested after handing himself over and directing them to where he had disposed of the body.

‘The woman has no relatives in this area. She was a visitor and we are trying to locate her family.

‘The suspect told us the deceased is from Mtubatuba, At this stage we cannot divulge her identity, until her next of kin are informed about the tragedy.’

Gwala said according to the information at their disposal, Xulu is married, but it is not clear where his wife was during the incident.

The suspect appeared at Mahlabathini Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
