Excitement as Somopho Primary receives computers

School Principal, Fanile Mbanjwa said the donation was a blessing in that it came at just the right time to replace the broken computers

TEACHERS and the School Governing Body of Somopho Primary School in Macekane Reserve were overjoyed when they received a computer donation from Transnet last week.

School Principal, Fanile Mbanjwa said the donation was a blessing in that it came at just the right time to replace the broken computers.

‘This donation will add to the computers that we have at the school, however the challenge is that we don’t have a computer specialist to help our learners.

‘We are currently helping Grade 7s, who are in the exit class, to enable them to have computer skills, so when they go to high school they know how to use computers for their research and their homework.

‘We are grateful to Transnet for investing in education. We are also grateful for the support we are receiving from the community around the school and the local iNkosi Shilo Mthembu.
