IN the early hours of Monday morning, Sgt Bhekani Ndima of the eShowe SAPS received information about a man in possession of a firearm at Kwa-Khoza.
A description of the man and his homestead was given to Sgt Ndima.
Accompanied by Constables Thuthukani Khuzwayo, McBright Zubane and Nkosinathi Biyela, Sgt Ndima proceeded to the address.
At the homestead they found a man, Mabuyi Ndwandwe (38), matching the description and after introducing themselves they asked permission to search him.
They found him in possession of an unlicensed .38 special revolver and three live rounds.
Ndwandwe appeared in the eShowe Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday morning.
The eShowe Station Commander, Colonel Mfuneni Mathenjwa praised the members for their swift response which led to the arrest of the suspect.
