
SUNDUMBILI SAPS Detectives, working around the clock, made a breakthrough with the arrest of three suspects aged between 28 and 35 for the murder, attempted murder and arson at a home in Emankenganeni, Sundumbili.
The arrests relate to and incident on 7 November when Isabel Nathi Dludla (54) was allegedly attacked by unknown men.
She was shot and died on the scene.
Her house was set alight, but her two grandchildren (aged five) managed to get out of the house.
One of the children was shot in the chest, while the other was left unharmed.
The injured child was taken to hospital for medical attention.
The suspects were found in possession of an unlicensed 9mm pistol and a 7.65 pistol.
The firearms will be tested to ascertain if they were used in any other crimes.
