I AM a Zululander through and through, but now work and reside in Durban.
My family homestead is in eMacekane Reserve under the Mthembu Tribal Council.
Every time I come to Zululand for business or to visit family, which I often do, I make sure that the first thing I do is buy myself a copy of the ZO to catch up on Zululand developments and issues.
How disappointed and disgusted I was when I opened to page 7 of the 18 November issue and read about this selfish, insensitive and inconsiderate individual who chose to take up all the disabled parking space.
How can we go forward as a society if we lack common courtesy and disregard rules that make our society function in an orderly manner.
This is not on at all.
I have never written to this paper before, but this time I thought I need to write and voice my concern about this.
I have an elderly parent at home who is not disabled, but needs care.
I cannot allow anyone to mistreat her. I also do not want to mistreat people that we need to care for as a society.
I know how Angie feels about the treatment her mother-in-law received from this pathetic driver.
I hope the driver of that car reads about this and writes to the ZO to apologise for this behaviour and starts living like a civil person going forward.
Shame on YOU if you don’t apologise.
