Celebration of a short life
The service will be held at 11am on Saturday at the NG Church in Pongola
FAMILY and loved ones of Lara Dedekind, who tragically succumbed to her severe injuries following a car accident last month, will this weekend honour her short yet wonderful life at a memorial service.
The service will be held at 11am on Saturday at the NG Church in Pongola.
On the ‘Bid vir Lara en Amy’ Facebook page through which Lara and her sister Amy’s parents, Mark and Telani posted, they requested that everyone attending the service wear colourful clothes, to celebrate Lara’s vibrant personality.
After much physical therapy and numerous tests to determine the lasting effect of her injuries, Amy, who emerged from her coma a few days after the accident, was discharged from hospital on 3 November.
However, she will undergo monthly routine check-ups to monitor her recovery.
‘Reality is catching up with us, but at least we are together and can heal together.’
