TO promote a healthy environment and recycling, uMthonjane Municipality held a clean-up campaign on Tuesday.
Municipal employees and officials joined forces to pick up litter and empty refuse skips, all for the love of the environment.
The movement started around Thubalethu township and proceeded to the urban area on Wednesday morning.
Volunteers rolled up their sleeves to recyclee materials such as cardboard, papers, plastic, bottles, cans and glass bottles.
The team also worked towards educating residents not to waste water and promoted a litter-free environment.
