New vehicle testing station opens its doors in Ulundi

THE establishment of a vehicle testing station in Ulundi has been welcomed by a grateful community.

At the official opening of the facility on Tuesday, guest of honour Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi said a testing station close to the Ulundi community was long overdue and brings to an end the long journeys motorists had to endure to have their vehicles tested at other towns.

He thanked local businessman Mduduzi Sithole and his family for spearheading the initiative, saying that apart from the convenience local citizens now had, the station would also contribute to economic development and job creation.

Sithole in turn, thanked the Department of Transport for allowing him to open the station which will greatly benefit the community.
