Spay and neuter campaign in eNseleni

Veterinary services' Patros Sokhela said a three-day campaign will be held at the Bhejane Community Hall from Tuesday to Thursday next week between 8am and 4pm

THE uMhlathuze Municipality’s Agriculture Veterinary Services officials are calling on all dog and cat owners in the eNseleni area to bring in their animals for spaying and neutering next week.

Veterinary services’ Patros Sokhela said a three-day campaign will be held at the Bhejane Community Hall from Tuesday to Thursday next week between 8am and 4pm.

‘The aim of this campaign is to control the dog and cat populations.

‘We want to encourage people who reside far from the community hall or have problems getting there, to contact us so that we can hopefully make arrangements to collect their animals,’ said Sokhela.

Ward 8 Councillor Thabisile Wanda encouraged the community to use this opportunity to help minimise the numbers of stray animals in the area.

For more information contact Sokhela on 076 9414608.
