Triplets safely delivered in Empangeni
Their mother, Thandi Khumalo (27) from eShowe, could not hide her excitement, telling the Zululand Observer on Wednesday that she first discovered that she was expecting three bundles of joy when she was 16 weeks pregnant
A FOURTH set of triplets this year was delivered at the Lower uMfolozi War Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday.
Their mother, Thandi Khumalo (27) from eShowe, could not hide her excitement, telling the Zululand Observer on Wednesday that she first discovered that she was expecting three bundles of joy when she was 16 weeks pregnant.
‘I had been attending antenatal classes at King Dinuzulu clinic. They transferred me to eShowe Hospital because my stomach was very big and it was there that I was told I am carrying triplets,’ Khumalo said.
When her due date arrived, she was admitted to Lower uMfolozi where she gave birth by cesarean section to two boys and a girl.
‘We are very happy. My sister has already come up with names for them, but I haven’t really decided yet,’ she said.
