SPCA fun run results

Racing in the rain

THIS year’s SPCA fun run and walk was held on Ross Steenberg’s Netherley Farm, which proved to be an improvement on the 2016 track which went through eShowe.

The most senior finisher was Elsie Banwell and the raffle winner of a Kenwood bowl and stand electric mixer sponsored by Hyperpharm Capital Pharmacy, was Brian Carpenter.

Refreshments for the day were sponosred by Coleys Four Square, Pick n Pay, eShowe SuperSpar, Trade Star Ikhwezi and Pit Stop.

As with all off-road events, medical support is vital and this was supplied by Philamed Ambulance, with marshalling being handled by the First eShowe Scouts Group and uMlalazi Municipality.

Prizes were sponored by eShowe Mall Pharmacy, Sunset Rock Spur, The House in Zululand, The Cane Rat, Hyperpharm Capital Pharmacy and Coastals.

5km Walk

Male – 1 Sipho Mhlangu; 2 Ayron Dunn; 3 Sizo Mhlongo.

Female – 1 Kwanele Cebekhulu; 2 Hlengiwe Hlangu; 3 Kerry Galanpoulos.
