ANEW Hotels recently launched the latest addition to its growing portfolio of properties, ANEW Hotel Hluhluwe & Safaris.
Established in July 2017, the ANEW Hotel Group also includes ANEW Hotel Ingeli Forest & Spa on KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast.
The group was established by KwaZulu-Natal businessmen Clinton Armour and Patrick Eliot and forms part of a locally owned family business, the Ingeli Group.
Both hotels hold a three-star grading status.

‘Our vision was to create a hotel brand that was personal, distinctly different and unique,’ said CEO Clinton Armour.
‘Our focus is intensely personal – our people, our personal values and our passion.’
Formerly the Protea Hotel Hluhluwe, the hotel has received several soft refurbishments, with further developments, such as an additional conference room, two self-catering rondavels and a five-star self-catering safari lodge for six people being planned.
The additional accommodation will be ready for guests from 1 October.
The hotel has its own game vehicles, so a visit to Zululand’s many nearby attractions can be easily arranged.
ANEW Hotels prides itself on its family-based philosophy that informs all dealings with staff and guests.
‘HITEC stands for honour, integrity, team, energy and courage and forms the basis of our operations.

‘It was important for us as hoteliers to get staff buy-in, and their wholehearted adoption of these five core values shows in the enthusiastic and intuitive service they provide,’ said Eliot.
‘We want to present a great tourism product where the elements work well together, Armour said.
‘We know people are looking for a modern experiences, underpinned by old-fashioned values.

‘With our family culture, attention to detail and the personal touch, the ANEW Hotels brand is well placed to provide this type of experience.’
‘The ANEW Hotel Hluhluwe & Safaris will always be a three-star hotel, but with these great attributes, we are well placed to provide our guests with a four-star service.’
