Children introduce new fashion line

Zululand kids create their own 'ZO' clothing

THE pre-school class of Al Fateha Muslim School in Richards Bay had their creative juices flowing recently when they completed a recycling project.

The children learnt about the depleting ozone layer, the importance of planting trees and water conservation.

They then got involved in a fun activity where they created designer clothes using Zululand Observer newspapers as material. Skirts, tops and dresses were fashioned with handbags and headgear to match.

The boys had caps and matching wrist bands.

‘Recycling is of utmost importance to all mankind. This was the lesson taught to our toddlers. The kids had such fun whilst learning about recycling, ‘ said school principal Sajida Sabjee Khan.
