Record numbers take to the bush and beach

THERE were great celebrations at the Mtunzini Athletic Club on Sunday as they marked the 10th running of the Seacom Zini Bush Run.

The weather gods were kind to the organisors, who could not have asked for better running conditions.

Of a total of 674 participants who finished the race, 606 were runners while the remaining 68 participated in the walking race.

Athletes interviewed after the race were all very complimentary of the organisation and marshals and most said they would definitely be back for number eleven next year.
