Brackenham pastor murder conspiracy case postponed

Kishore Maniram and Sunker Jugdeo were arrested in August 2014 and released on R1 000 bail

THE trial of two Richards Bay men facing charges of conspiring to murder Brackenham Pastor Daniel Munisami was postponed this week in the Empangeni Magistrate’s Court as the accused have appointed a new defence attorney.

Kishore Maniram and Sunker Jugdeo were arrested in August 2014 and released on R1 000 bail.

According to the charge sheet, the two accused conspired with Zwelathe Tembe in July and August 2011, and then with Thulani Myeni between January and March 2014, to kill Munsami, the senior pastor of New Life Church in Brackenham.

The matter has been set down for trial from 27 November to 1 December.
