They’re here! Whale season is officially in full swing!
Humpback whales move up the Zululand coast every winter to mate and calve in warmer waters of the Indian Ocean – a much-anticipated event that ocean lovers all look forward to.

These gentle giants can put up a majestic display – lounging their 40-ton bodies from the water, the breach of a humpback whale is a spectacular sight to behold.
Of all its cousins, the Humpback whale is said to be one of the most active and acrobatic of all the whales.
So, it is definitely worth your while to invest in a boat-based whale watching trip – chances are slim that you will be disappointed.
Come and enjoy whale watching aboard Advantage Cruiser (est. 1991 in St Lucia, KZN), and get as close as 50 meters from these gentle ocean giants, the humpback whales.
Advantage Cruiser acquired a Boat Based Whale and Dolphin Watching permit for the St Lucia section of the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park in 1998. This allows them to go as close as 50m from these amazing mammals.
Who knows, you might also see sharks, flying fish, turtles and various species of dolphins!
Depart from either St Lucia or Richards Bay.
Whale season ends around the end of November, don’t miss out, book with us today!
