THREE suspected rhino poachers are scheduled to appear at Hluhluwe Magistrate’s Court today (Monday) after they were arrested on Friday and their weapons confiscated.
An intelligence-driven operation led SAPS members tasked with combating rhino poaching to a white Toyota double cab in the Mgwanwini area near Hluhluwe.
On searching the vehicle, the members found a high calibre hunting rifle with silencer and ammunition, and an axe.

The 44-year-old driver and his 24- and 28-year-old passengers were arrested.
The trio will appear on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
This arrest comes hot on the heels of the slaughter of six white rhino in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park (HiP) just last weekend.
