
EMPANGENI police made a gruesome discovery last night when the body of a 43-year-old man was found at a home in President Swart Street.
His throat had been slit and he was found lying face up in his lounge on a mattress.
A forensic investigator told the ZO he suspects that the body had been there for at least a day.
Meanwhile, the victim’s vehicle was found abandoned in a remote location in Ngwelezane yesterday.
Suspicion was originally aroused when a friend went to check on him after not hearing from him for some time.
A provincial task team will be called in to investigate the matter.
The identity of the victim is known to this publication.
