Roadworks in iSimangaliso Wetland Park

The road between Bhangazi Gate and Cape Vidal resort will be re-tarred over the next few weeks

THE routine road maintenance programme is continuing in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.
While every effort has been made to minimise disruption to visitors, roadworks started on 22 June in the Eastern Shores section.
The road between Bhangazi Gate and Cape Vidal resort will be re-tarred over the next few weeks. This work will be done in half widths with two affected sections of 2km each. Flagmen will utilise the ‘Stop-Go’ system to maintain access for tourist traffic.
Please allow up to 30 minutes extra travel time between Cape Vidal and the Bhangazi Gate especially when leaving the park through the Bhangazi Gate, which closes at 6pm.
