Khanyi Mbau defends her physical transformation

TV personality and radio presenter Khanyi Mbau says she is transforming her physical appearance to look like the ‘mental image’ of herself.
Mbau, who has received a lot of criticism over her skin lightening and plastic surgery, likened her physical transformation to that of Caitlyn Jenner, previously Bruce Jenner who shocked the world in 2015, when he transformed into a woman.
In an interview on Real Talk with Anele Mdoda, Mbau said: ‘I see myself as the most beautiful woman – flawless, filtered every single day of my life.

Once we start seeing ourselves as creators of our time, we will reach our goal because you’re not looking at someone for inspiration, you’re remembering who you are through the God that created you,’ she said.
‘And that is the same example with Caitlyn Jenner. In her mind she was always a woman, so she went and created that,” she said.
This is not the first time Mbau has had to defend her decision to use skin lightening creams after being labelled ‘pink’.
She told Phat Joe on East Coast Radio that ‘there is something about a woman who looks brighter‚ but there is a difference between lightening and bleaching. Lightening is non invasive‚ it also boosts your immune system and helps with anti-ageing.’
