Lack of Zululand rehabilitation centres a challenge

There are major concerns over the lack of government-run rehab centres in our region

THE KZN Department of Social Development says the demand for accessible rehabilitation facilities to help people suffering from addiction, is higher than what the province can offer.

Ncumisa Fandesi, the provincial department’s media liaison officer, said there are not enough government rehab centres to deal with the number of people who require assistance to deal with substance abuse.
