LifeLine Zululand competitions promote child protection awareness

LifeLine Zululand will be hosting two exciting competitions to raise awareness about child abuse

IN commemoration of Child Protection Week from 28 May to 4 June, LifeLine Zululand will be hosting two exciting competitions to raise awareness about child abuse.

There will be a a colouring-in competition for children aged 10 and younger, while youngsters from 11 to 18 years can participate in a poetry competition.

The campaign, ‘Touch my Body, Scar my Soul’ aims to highlight the importance of protecting children and keeping them safe from abuse.

It takes place on 2 and 3 June outside the Toys R Us entrance at the Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre and entries for the poetry competition can be dropped off at the designated boxes at Toys R Us and the centre’s Information and Tourism Hub before 30 May.

Winners will be selected in each age group category and poems can contain between 20 to 250 words.

Runners-up will also receive certificates.
