A work of love programme ready to roll
AWOL is open to all high school learners up to the age of 19
THE Work of Love pogramme, popularly known as ‘AWOL’, will be in action from Tuesday, 4 July to Friday, 7 July this year, and organisers believe it will be ‘bigger and better than ever’.
The youth camp is aimed at building relationships between the teenagers, the community in which they live and local Christian churches, while cleaning up the city and giving some neglected areas a facelift.
‘Their mission is to be the hands and feet of God and demonstrate His love in a practical way, while having fun and making memories with old and new friends,’ said participant Justin Whittaker.
Returning to the same venue as last year, participants can look forward to the four-day camp based at St Catherine’s.
AWOL is open to all high school learners up to the age of 19. Registration is now open and the closing date is Friday, 16 June.
The cost is R550 (R620 with communal tent) and the deposit is R280 per person.
The balance is due before or on arrival at camp on 4 July.
Download the registration form via the website www.aworkoflove.co.za or alternatively, contact your church or youth leader for more information.
