UPDATE: Search intensifies for missing Empangeni man

Family have searched hospitals and morgues - no sign

DAY five – and still no sign of Wayne Wilmot.

His anxious mother Charmaine Corbett, well known former Zululander now living in Hillcrest, says this morning (Monday) they undertook the incredibly difficult task of ensuring he was not at Ngwelezana Hospital.

‘A friend went through all the wards, and Wayne is definitely not there,’ she said this morning.

The last time he was seen was at the Hluhluwe/Richards Bay turnoff on Wednesday afternoon, and he was seen in Richards Bay CBDe twice on Thursday, the last time at around 2pm.

‘Nobody has seen him since,’ said Charmaine.

‘What I really need now is for the community to help us to build a time-line of his movements,’ she said.

‘If anyone saw Wayne on Thursday afternoon, or on Friday, would they please let us know.’

Wayne lives on a smallholding outside Empangeni in the Hillview area.

He is single, and has no children.

Charmaine can be contacted on 083 4170613.
