GOOD visitor numbers and a relatively low number of traffic incidents mean the City can mark off the 2017 Easter period as both financially and logistically successful.

While official tourism statistics are yet to be released, the Mtunzini Toll Plaza’s recorded number of vehicles travelling north into Zululand, hint at a bumper number of visitors.

A spokesperson for SANRAL said about 98 000 vehicles passed through their boom gates at Mtunzini Toll Plaza.
