Court case fuels family’s grief

So many unnecessary deaths on our roads is shocking, leaving broken-hearted loved ones behind.

REFERRING to the story ‘Court case fuels family’s grief’ in the ZO of 25 October.

How long can Mike, Wendy and Jonathan be expected to continue with their added grief?

Surely this disbarred lawyer Koobashan Naicker, after admitting to having been affected by drugs and alcohol when he smashed into Carmen’s motorcycle, also causing the death of two others in a car, and facing previous drunken and reckless driving charges, shouldn’t be out on bail and retaining his driver’s licence?

He will now only appear for sentencing early next year.

The only way to cut down on our road accidents in this country is for the drivers causing these kinds of accidents to have his/her driver’s licence suspended for a good length of time, the vehicle they were driving to be taken away from them, and the driver put behind bars.

So many unnecessary deaths on our roads is shocking, leaving broken-hearted loved ones behind.
