Hospital’s mission is quality and affordable medical care

Marketing and Public Relations Manager for Melomed Randal Pedro gave the ZO some insight as to what to expect

WHILE construction is yet to be completed on the Melomed Richards Bay Private Hospital at the John Ross Parkway Eco Junction, Marketing and Public Relations Manager for Melomed, Randal Pedro, gave the ZO some insight as to what to expect.

‘Our unique business model has proven to be of immeasurable benefit to health care professionals.

‘We pride ourselves on delivering quality, affordable medical care to all,’ he told the ZO.

‘Once completed and fully operational, the new facility will employ in excess of 400 trained staff members.

‘This is apart from the staff employed by support services such as pathology and radiology, as well as medical practitioners, dieticians, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

‘The facility has received numerous applications from health care professionals wanting to deliver medical and related services in the Richards Bay area, and the facility will boast a range of specialist practices on site with a multidisciplinary team.’

The ZO last year reported that construction on the 100-bed, 10 000m² medical facility would create around 200 direct and indirect jobs, with 75% of the staff being local workers.
