Awards speaker inspires

'Live your purpose and be rich'

‘IF you are broke at the end of the month, it’s because you don’t know who you are.’

That was the thought-provoking introduction to a dynamic address by motivational speaker Max Moyo at the ZCCI Business Excellence Awards function – sponsored by Old Mutual,  held at the Richards Bay Country Club on Thursday night.

‘Your uniqueness of mind, intellect, talent and gifts makes you rare and special and ‘who you are’ expresses your purpose.

‘You don’t need others, or BEE or politics to validate you.

‘Never underestimate your value to the world and don’t let people measure you with a yardstick that has nothing to do with you.

‘The trick to being number one is to be yourself, not to emulate someone else,’ said the effervescent Moyo.

‘Identity, talent and purpose are the three legs of life – and you don’t choose any of these, they were determined by a power bigger than you.

‘Your circumstances connect you to your purpose and you cannot fail at what you are born to do.

‘And nobody has ever lived their purpose and not had money.’
