Richards Bay CBD business owner ‘fed up’ with trashy premises

An area that is meant to welcome visitors at the entry to our CBD

‘IT’S so disgusting. Vendors and shop owners are losing business because nobody wants to step into this filth.’

That’s the opinion of a businesswoman who has watched the rapid decline of her premises – and others – located at the Richards Bay Centre, the same location at which at local teen was found stabbed to death last week.

Litter and empty passages

‘This filth greets us every morning when we arrive,’ she said.

‘This is an area that is meant to welcome visitors, at the entry to our CBD.

‘But now, shopping is quiet, as people are actually afraid to park in this area and go about their shopping,’ she said.

‘It is sad what is happening to our beautiful city.’
