WATCH: eShowe community loses its patience
Protesters voice their concerns against uMlalazi Municipality's poor service delivery

Protesters have taken to eShowe’s streets to voice their concerns about uMlalazi Municipality‘s poor service delivery and failure to complete roadworks in the King Dinizulu suburb.
They blockaded roads throughout the town, the affected areas being the R66/Kangella Road, R66/Mountain View and Kangella and Mangosuthu Buthelezi Drive intersections.

This follows last Monday’s march to the uMlalazi municipal offices where they presented a memorandum detailing their complaints.
The municipality was given 10 days to respond.
Roads are being cleared as the protestors move to another area.

Municipal officials refused to attend a community meeting in the suburb yesterday (Tuesday) evening, which increased tensions.
A spokesman for the protesters said they were not planning a march to the municipal offices today.
