A MAINTENANCE shut could see residents of eShowe and surrounding areas without water on Tuesday.

According to the King Cetshwayo District Municipality, the Department of Water and Sanitation will be working at the water source, Phobane Dam from 6am to 6pm.

Residents are requested to use water sparingly to prevent depletion of the reservoir while the plant is offline.

All efforts will be taken to ensure minimum interruptions to the supply.

Affected areas will include eShowe, Mpungose, Dlangubo, Mabhokweni, Zimele, Khoza area and the rural area towards Gingindlovu.
